This 2009 Malbec is a tribute to cellar patience. Three plus years in the barrel and it shows Age and Youth. A bright cherry front palate takes you and drops you on a silky tannin structure that is most comfortable and delicious. The mouth feel is full and pleasing and often invaded by bursts of black cherry flavors. With the freshness of the fruit and the supple tannins, this could be the best of both worlds in this aged beauty. This is a tiny lot from our Malbec block that became a darling in the cellar. Many of you tasted and experienced the cellar development of this barrel. And yes, there was just one barrel of this wine, a 500 liter Hungarian Puncheon that is offered in a style of softness. Only 52 cases produced.
