Malbec Offshore 2010

Everybody who had a part of barrel tasting for the last three years or so has met the beauty of this wine.  Grown on my old "stomping" grounds, this wine is Malbec with a touch of cool.  This wine shows the depth of fruit character that separates Malbec from the rest.  This wine was barreled in 500-liter puncheons to preserve all of the freshness of the fruit flavors. The time in barrel was awaiting the ultimate softening of the firm tannic structure.  What we got was a lush wine with developed fruit and mid palate weight that finishes with a respectable lengthy finish.
