Malbec 2011 Via Vega
Tasting notes
I still remember the spring frost that scorched the new growth of this 2011 vintage. Crop set late and small. Vintage signature showing bright wines with fresh fruit.
1) Aromatics of Violet with fruit richness that is joyous. Really makes wine sniffing fun.
2) Mid palate shows plush fruit which leads to blueberry tone and soft pleasing mouth feel
3) Finish begins with refined tannins and a fresh red fruit finale
This wine showed a purity of Malbec varietal character and nice intensity
