October Series 2011
53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 11% Touriga Nacíonal, 5% Petite Sirah, 4% Malbec
Tasting notes
This blend is a very happy style wine that puts a smile on my face. It was really fun on the blending table. It has levity and a presentation of character that is as fun to sip and rewarding as making a new buddy. The bright side of Cabernet Sauvignon welcomes you from the glass with front palate silk. Bright berry fruit is all about the Touriga Nacíonal and Malbec. The Merlot carries middle palate and the finish spice from the Petite Sirah. The depth of the middle palate comes through as the wine opens up to balance the front palate fruit. The finish echoes the toasty oak and returns with more fruit. This is a very social wine. You and yours are sure to have fun with this one. This October is a big 1-2 style Bordeaux blend with a spicy finish.
