100% varietal, and another example of how to tame a monster. The difference is the crop size of the Cabernet Sauvignon that was smallest of all the blocks at 1.75 ton/acre. Brace yourself for a powerful Cabernet expression. There is a huge mouth feel to this wine with tannins that show some strength. The balance is what makes the senses come around. There are flavors that resemble well-worn leather that are well paired with toasty oak that show an overall grace. There is a bit of sweetness leftover as a function of the super-ripeness, but I think it fits well with the overall size of this Cabernet Sauvignon. If you like an extreme wine experience let it breathe, and here you go.
