Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Tasting notes
Spring 2013 Club Release
1- This Cabernet offers a full nose that made me recall black licorice fragrance. With a wonderful complexity of aromatics I picked up a bit of olive character. The density of the nose is really a charm. The wine shows what I call a Cherry escalation sensation as the fruit climbs to the top of the palate showing comfortably pleasant acidity.
2- The middle palate exposes layers of fruit and spice that are persistent and continuous. The French and Hungarian barrels show a nice combination of toasty and sweet oak.
3- The finish and length of the wine is a round softer tannin that shows varietal Cabernet spice. This wine develops as the wine is allowed to open, so keep an eye on your bottle.
